ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਕਈ ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਲਹਿਰ, ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਾਰਾਜ਼ਗੀ ਅਤੇ 'ਆਪ' ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਪਰ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਨਗਰ ਨਿਗਮ ਅਤੇ ਨਗਰ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਤੀਜੇ ਆਏ, ਸਵਾਲ 'ਆਪ' ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਣ ਲੱਗੇ। ਪਾਰਟੀ ਕੋਈ ਵੱਡਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਛੱਡਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾਕਾਮ ਰਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਖੁਦ ਰਾਜਾ ਵੜਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਗੜ੍ਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਨਤੀਜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਏ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਉਮੀਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਸਵਾਲ ਮੁੜ ਉੱਠ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। 2027 ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਦੇ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ, ਕੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਵੜਿੰਗ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਗਲੀ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣ ਵੱਲ ਲਿਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਸਹੀ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਹਨ, ਜਾਂ ਹੁਣ ਸਮਾਂ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਧੜੇਬੰਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਲੀਡਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਬਦੀਲੀ ਕਰੇ ?
