As speculation about a possible BJP–Shiromani Akali Dal reunion keeps resurfacing, the biggest question may no longer be whether BJP wants an alliance, but whether Sukhbir Singh Badal does. After years of defending the Akali Dal’s independent identity following the bitter breakup over the farm laws, agreeing to a reunion could bring electoral benefits but also raise uncomfortable questions among core supporters. At the same time, Punjab’s changing political landscape may eventually force old allies to reconsider old equations. ਭਾਜਪਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੇ ਸੰਭਾਵੀ ਗਠਜੋੜ ਦੀਆਂ ਚਰਚਾਵਾਂ ਵਾਰ-ਵਾਰ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਸਵਾਲ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਗਠਜੋੜ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਸੁਖਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਖੇਤੀ ਕਾਨੂੰਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ 'ਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਤਿੱਖੇ ਵਿਛੋੜੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸੁਖਬੀਰ ਬਾਦਲ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੀ ਸੁਤੰਤਰ ਪਛਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਠਜੋੜ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਲਾਭ ਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਸਮਰਥਕਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਕਈ ਅਸਹਿਜ ਸਵਾਲ ਵੀ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਬਦਲ ਰਹੀ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਹਕੀਕਤ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਣ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੋਚਣ ਲਈ ਮਜਬੂਰ ਵੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਅਸਲੀ ਸਵਾਲ ਹੁਣ ਇਹ ਹੈ, ਜੇਕਰ 2027 ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਗੰਭੀਰਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਨੂੰ ਗਠਜੋੜ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਸਤਾਵ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਸੁਖਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਦਾ ਸਮਝਦਾਰੀ ਭਰਿਆ ਰਾਹ ਮੰਨਣਗੇ, ਜਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਸਮਝੌਤਾ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੁਨਰ-ਉਭਾਰ ਦੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ?
