ਕੇ. ਡੀ. ਭੰਡਾਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਬਣਾਈ ਅਤੇ 2007 ਅਤੇ 2012 ਵਿੱਚ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਜਿੱਤ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਸਾਬਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਜਿੱਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਜਮੀਨੀ ਪਕੜ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਪ੍ਰਿਯਤਾ ਦਰਸਾਈ। ਪਰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਬਦਲ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਵਰਗੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰੀ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵੇਂ ਸਮੀਕਰਨ ਬਣ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਵਾਲ ਖੜਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵਰਗੀ ਪਕੜ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਬਰਕਰਾਰ ਹੈ।
