ਮਹਾਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਹੈਰਾਨੀਜਨਕ ਅਤੇ ਅਜੀਬ ਮੋੜ ਦੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਏਕਨਾਥ ਸ਼ਿੰਦੇ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਹੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ’ਤੇ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ “ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰ ਦੀ ਹੱਤਿਆ” ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਗਾਏ ਹਨ। ਜਦੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਉਪ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਹੇਠ ਹੋ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਿਰਪੱਖਤਾ ’ਤੇ ਸਵਾਲ ਚੁੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਕਈ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਅਤੇ ਅਸਹਿਜ ਸਵਾਲ ਖੜੇ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕੀ ਇਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਗਠਜੋੜ ਅੰਦਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਦਰਾਰਾਂ ਹਨ ਜਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਇਹ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸੱਤਾ ਦਾ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ? ਜੇ ਸਿਸਟਮ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰਲੇ ਲੋਕ ਹੀ ਸਵਾਲ ਚੁੱਕ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰਕ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਲਈ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ ਜਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਇਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉੱਚ ਪੱਧਰੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਖੇਡ ਹੈ ?
