ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਊਰਜਾ ਹਕੀਕਤ “ਆਤਮਨਿਰਭਰ ਭਾਰਤ” ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਦਾਅਵਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਕਾਫੀ ਵੱਖਰੀ ਦਿਖਦੀ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੱਚੇ ਤੇਲ ਦਾ ਘਰੇਲੂ ਉਤਪਾਦਨ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਘਟ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਯਾਤ ’ਤੇ ਨਿਰਭਰਤਾ ਵੱਧ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। 2016 ਵਿੱਚ HELP ਵਰਗੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਐਲਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ, ਜ਼ਮੀਨੀ ਹਕੀਕਤ ਕੁਝ ਹੋਰ ਹੀ ਦੱਸਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਈਰਾਨ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਵਿਆਪੀ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਿਸਟਮ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਲਾ ਸਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਜੇ ਇਹੀ “ਸਵੈ-ਨਿਰਭਰਤਾ” ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਇਹ ਕਦੇ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਸੀ ਜਾਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਚੰਗਾ ਨਾਅਰਾ ? ਕਈ ਸਾਲ ਸੱਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਤੇਲ ਦੇ ਝਟਕਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿਖਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਵਾਅਦਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਹਕੀਕਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਅੰਤਰ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ, ਖ਼ਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ?
