ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਇੰਡਸਟਰੀਅਲ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਜ਼ਨਸ ਡਿਵੈਲਪਮੈਂਟ ਪਾਲਿਸੀ 2026 ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਲਚਕੀਲੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਤਸਾਹਨ, ਸਬਸਿਡੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਸਟਮ ਪੈਕੇਜ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਣਗੇ। ਪਰੰਤੂ ਸੂਬਾ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ, ਬੇਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਵਾਸ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਚੁਣੌਤੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੂਝ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਸਵਾਲ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਨੀਤੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਘੋਸ਼ਣਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜ਼ਮੀਨੀ ਹਕੀਕਤ ਬਦਲੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ।
