2017 ਦੀ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਦੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਟਿਕਟ ’ਤੇ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਫਤਿਹਜੰਗ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਜਵਾ ਨੇ 2021 ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿਕਟ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਅਸਪਸ਼ਟਤਾ ਦੇ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨਿਸ਼ਠਾ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਵਜੋਂ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
