ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਤੋਂ 2012 ਅਤੇ 2017 ਵਿੱਚ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਜਿੱਤ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਡਾਵਰ ਕਦੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਅਤੇ ਭਰੋਸੇਯੋਗ ਨੇਤਾ ਮੰਨੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ। ਪਰ 2022 ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਨੇ ਦੱਸ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਮੀਨੀ ਸਿਆਸਤ ਕਿੰਨੀ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਬਦਲ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਵੀ ਜਾਣਿਆ-ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ। ਸੱਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਪਹਿਚਾਣ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਉਮੀਦਾਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਧ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਹੁਣ ਜਦੋਂ 2027 ਨੇੜੇ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਸਵਾਲ ਹੋਰ ਤੇਜ਼ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਕੀ ਡਾਵਰ ਦਾ ਲੰਮਾ ਤਜਰਬਾ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਦਾ ਹੈ ? ਕੀ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਫਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਆਧਾਰ ’ਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਵੋਟਰ ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਕਾ ਦੇਣਗੇ ?
