After spending more time fighting itself than the ruling party, Punjab Congress is now talking about “reinvention”, leadership surveys, new faces, and even dreaming of 95 out of 117 seats in 2027. Factions are still pulling each other down, pressure groups are active, and the search for an “acceptable leader” continues years after losing power. With Raja Warring, Bajwa, Channi, and others still jostling, the party seems busy measuring popularity instead of building authority. Is Congress preparing to fight AAP in 2027 or is it still stuck fighting itself while pretending something will magically fix leadership chaos ?

ਸੱਤਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਨੇ ਵਿਰੋਧੀਆਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੜਦਿਆਂ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਪਾਰਟੀ “ਨਵੀਂ ਬਣਤਰ”, ਲੀਡਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਸਰਵੇ, ਨਵੇਂ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਅਤੇ 2027 ਵਿੱਚ 117 ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 95 ਸੀਟਾਂ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਗੁੱਟਬੰਦੀ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਕਾਇਮ ਹੈ, ਦਬਾਅ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਸਰਗਰਮ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵੀ ਇੱਕ “ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰ” ਨੇਤਾ ਦੀ ਤਲਾਸ਼ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ। ਰਾਜਾ ਵੜਿੰਗ, ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਜਵਾ, ਚਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਚੰਨੀ ਵਰਗੇ ਨੇਤਾ ਆਪਣੀ-ਆਪਣੀ ਦੌੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਢਾਂਚਾ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਲੋਕਪ੍ਰਿਯਤਾ ਮਾਪਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸਵਾਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ, ਕੀ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ 2027 ਵਿੱਚ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਨ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਸ ਦੀ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਸੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਚ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਠੀਕ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ?
