ਮਹਿਲ ਕਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰਚੰਦ ਕੌਰ ਕਦੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੀ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਨੇਤਰੀ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। 2007 ਤੋਂ 2017 ਤੱਕ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਰਹੀ, ਪਰ 2022 ਵਿੱਚ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਲਹਿਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਉਹ ਤੀਜੇ ਨੰਬਰ ’ਤੇ ਰਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 17,545 ਵੋਟਾਂ (15.2%) ਮਿਲੀਆਂ। ਹਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਹ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋ ਗਏ। 2027 ਵੱਲ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਵਾਲ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਹੈ, ਕੀ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਬਦਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਹਰਚੰਦ ਕੌਰ ਤੋਂ ਮੂੰਹ ਮੋੜ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ ? ਅਤੇ ਕੀ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਣਾ ਨਵੀਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੰਨ ਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਪੁਰਾਣਾ ਆਧਾਰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ?
