After failing to unite the rebel Akali factions he once aligned with, Manpreet Singh Ayali has now given Sukhbir Singh Badal a one-month ultimatum to accept Panthic unity. Coming after Ayali distanced himself from SAD’s organisational line and experimented outside the party, the timing raises eyebrows.

B) Rebel factions failed to build a centre without SAD’s structure.
