Navjot Kaur Sidhu has now declared that Navjot Singh Sidhu will return to active politics only if he is given real power, enough to fix Punjab, even hinting at a CM-level role. At the same time, she admits that Congress already has five leaders dreaming of becoming CM, all of whom would “never allow Sidhu to rise.” But here, the irony is: Sidhu has stayed out of politics for years, skipped party events, skipped campaigning, and preferred IPL commentary over Punjab’s burning issues. And now, after being missing from the battlefield, the Sidhus claim they can “fix Punjab” ? So the real question is: After so many years away from real politics, can Navjot Singh Sidhu seriously claim he deserves the CM chair in 2027 or is this just wishful thinking from a couple far removed from Punjab’s ground reality ?

Proposals - SUNLO

A) Sidhu might return if Congress clears internal factional roadblocks and gives him space as a serious CM contender.

B) His long absence may make voters and even Congress doubt if he still has the energy or relevance for a CM-level fight.

C) With five Congress CM aspirants blocking every door, Sidhu may end up watching 2027 from the sidelines again.

D) Punjab may see Sidhu’s sudden CM claims as more celebrity noise than a realistic political roadmap.

ਨਵਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਉਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਸਿਆਸਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਉਣਗੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਐਨੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ ਕਿ ਉਹ “ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਠੀਕ ਕਰ ਸਕਣ”, ਯਾਨੀ ਕਿ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਪੱਧਰ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ। ਉੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਖੁਦ ਮੰਨ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਪੰਜ ਨੇਤਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਬਣਨ ਦੀ ਦੌੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ, ਤੇ ਉਹ “ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਣ ਦੇਣਗੇ।” ਪਰ ਅਸਲ ਗੱਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ, ਸਿੱਧੂ ਕਈ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਿਆਸਤ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਨੇ, ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਗਮਾਂ ‘ਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੇ, ਚੋਣ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ, ਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ IPL ਕਮੈਂਟਰੀ ਵੱਧ ਪਸੰਦ ਕੀਤੀ। ਹੁਣ ਏਨੇ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਸਿੱਧੂ ਜੋੜਾ ਕਹਿ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਹੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ ? ਤਾਂ ਅਸਲ ਸਵਾਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ: ਕੀ ਐਨੇ ਲੰਮਾ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਅੰਤਰਾਲ ਲੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਨਵਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ 2027 ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦੀ ਦੌੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਨੇ ਜਾਂ ਇਹ ਸਿਰਫ ਦੂਰ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਹੈ ?
