With both Punjab Congress Chief Raja Warring and SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal accusing the AAP Government of intimidating opposition candidates, abusing police machinery, blocking nominations, and creating an atmosphere of fear across districts, a deeper question now hangs over Punjab politics. Has AAP become so unsure of its ground that instead of preparing for elections, it is preparing ways to stop the Opposition from even reaching the nomination desk ?

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਰਾਜਾ ਵੜਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸੁਖਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਇਹ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ AAP ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਡਰਾਉਣ-ਧਮਕਾਉਣ, ਪੁਲਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਦੀ ਗਲਤ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਨ, ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦਗੀ ਰੋਕਣ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਰ ਦਾ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਸਵਾਲ ਖੜ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੈ: ਕੀ AAP ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਹੇਠੋਂ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਖਿਸਕਦੀ ਦਿਸ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਏ ਹੁਣ ਉਹ ਵਿਰੋਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦਗੀ ਜਮਾ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਤੱਕ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇ ਰਹੀ ?
