ਕੋਟਕਪੂਰਾ, ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹਲਕਾ ਜੋ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਝੂਲਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇੱਥੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਅਸਲੀ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕੀ — ਦੂਜੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ।। ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਬਦਲ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਗੱਠਜੋੜ ਟੁੱਟ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰੀ ਵੀ ਡੋਲ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ 2027 ਇੱਕ ਨਵਾਂ ਸਵਾਲ ਪੁੱਛਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਕੋਟਕਪੂਰਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕਾਤਮਕ ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਣਾ ਚਾਹੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਕਿਸਨੂੰ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਤਾਰੇ??
