As 2027 approaches, the Aam Aadmi Party is placing Bhagwant Mann at the centre of its Punjab campaign. But a state wide election needs more than one prominent face, it also needs credible leaders who can represent the party across regions and constituencies. Other parties have several established leaders, the bigger question is: does the Aam Aadmi Party have enough credible Punjab faces to build a wider leadership team beyond Bhagwant Mann, or is too much of its 2027 political identity still tied to one leader ?

After being expelled from the Shiromani Akali Dal, he has now joined the Aam Aadmi Party. If Brahmpura’s roots are tied to Panthic politics, how does joining the Aam Aadmi Party fit with that identity, especially when Bhagwant Mann has faced strong censure from the Akal Takht ? Is this a shift in ideology or simply a shift in a political home ?
