जब देश की अदालतों में 7.5 लाख से ज़्यादा ज़मीन विवादों के मुक़दमे लंबित हों, और वक़्फ़ की ज़मीनें 6 लाख एकड़ में फैली हों — तो वक़्फ़ बोर्ड से ज़मीन की पहचान का अधिकार छीनकर सरकार कौन-सी पारदर्शिता लाना चाहती है? या फिर ये भी बुलडोज़र राजनीति का एक और रूप है, बस इस बार अफ़सरशाही की नई वर्दी पहनकर?
After spending all of 2025 fighting itself, the Punjab Congress now says the answer lies in “70 new faces” for 2027. Veterans who lost elections blame repetition, factions blame each other, and the leadership promises a fresh reset. But the real question is, where are these new faces, and if they really exist, why haven’t they been visible on the ground during protests, bypolls, or crises ? Can new comers magically deliver what senior leaders failed to do for years or is this just a convenient way to dodge accountability for internal fights and repeated defeats ?
पूरा 2025 आपस में लड़ते हुए गुज़ारने के बाद, पंजाब कांग्रेस अब कह रही है कि 2027 का समाधान “70 नए चेहरे” हैं। चुनाव हार चुके नेता दोहराव को दोष देते हैं, गुट एक-दूसरे पर उंगली उठाते हैं और नेतृत्व एक नए बदलाव का वादा करता है। लेकिन असली सवाल यह है, ये नए चेहरे हैं कहां ? अगर वे सच में मौजूद हैं, तो वे अब तक धरनों, उपचुनावों या संकट के समय ज़मीन पर क्यों नहीं दिखे ? क्या नए चेहरे वह कर दिखाएंगे जो सीनियर नेता सालों में नहीं कर पाए या फिर यह अंदरूनी लड़ाइयों और लगातार हार की जिम्मेदारी से बचने का एक आसान बहाना है ?
Punjab has heard the same promises on drugs and crime from every Government, Congress blamed Akalis, Akalis blamed Congress, BJP talks tough from Delhi, and AAP claims “historic action” from Chandigarh. Yet the ground reality barely shifts. So the real question is this: When the slogans run out, will Indian National Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party, or Shiromani Akali Dal ever place a clear, time-bound, public blueprint on the table explaining how they will actually dismantle drug networks, protect witnesses, reform policing, and break political–criminal links if elected to power ? Or is war on drugs destined to remain a campaign line that expires the moment results are declared ?
