Sukhbir Singh Badal has launched a sharp attack on the Aam Aadmi Party government, alleging that handing out ₹1,000 per month to women while Punjab’s debt keeps climbing is nothing more than an attempt to “buy votes” with borrowed money. The Shiromani Akali Dal chief argued that Punjab cannot be run on short-term cash handouts and headline announcements while deeper issues like jobs, industry and farmers’ distress remain unresolved.
