Farmers are protesting over power cuts, MSP, farm debt and other long pending demands, with anger being reported against both the Aam Aadmi Party Government in Punjab and the BJP led Centre. For Congress, this could open political space in rural Punjab ahead of 2027. But farmer anger alone will not decide the political outcome. Congress would need to turn these grievances into a clear campaign, rebuild its rural organisation and convince farmers that it has more to offer than promises. Can Congress turn the growing frustration with the Aam Aadmi Party and BJP into a real political opening, or will it struggle to convert farmer anger into a comeback ?
किसान बिजली कटौती, एम.एस.पी., कर्ज़ और लंबे समय से लंबित दूसरी मांगों को लेकर प्रदर्शन कर रहे हैं। पंजाब की आम आदमी पार्टी सरकार और भाजपा के नेतृत्व वाली केंद्र सरकार, दोनों के खिलाफ किसानों में नाराज़गी की बात सामने आ रही है। ऐसे में 2027 से पहले कांग्रेस के लिए ग्रामीण पंजाब में राजनीतिक जगह बन सकती है। लेकिन किसानों की नाराज़गी अपने आप वोट में नहीं बदलती। कांग्रेस को इन मुद्दों को एक साफ चुनावी एजेंडे में बदलना होगा, गांवों में अपना संगठन मजबूत करना होगा और किसानों को भरोसा दिलाना होगा कि उसके पास सिर्फ वादे नहीं, बल्कि ठोस जवाब भी हैं। क्या कांग्रेस आम आदमी पार्टी और भाजपा के खिलाफ बढ़ रही किसान नाराज़गी को वास्तविक राजनीतिक मौके में बदलकर वापसी कर सकती है या किसान असंतोष को अपने पक्ष में करने में फिर पीछे रह जाएगी ?
Congress is gearing up for the 2027 Punjab battle and talking about a comeback, but the bigger question is whether the party has a clearly defined political roadmap to take that comeback from a slogan to an electoral strategy. With AAP defending its record, BJP aggressively expanding its footprint and the Shiromani Akali Dal attempting to regain lost ground, can Congress afford to enter the election with its roadmap and manifesto still taking shape Or does Punjab need to know what Congress wants to change before Congress asks Punjab to change its Government ?
