Punjab Congress has no shortage of senior faces but its bigger challenge is turning individual leaders into one coherent election team. Partap Singh Bajwa has the experience of leading the Opposition but he still faces a key challenge: Can he turn that role into a wider public appeal ? Charanjit Singh Channi has already been Chief Minister but his 2022 defeat from both Chamkaur Sahib and Bhadaur remains a major hurdle for his comeback. If Congress has to put one face at the centre of its 2027 Punjab campaign, who has more to prove - Partap Singh Bajwa, who needs to expand his public appeal or Charanjit Singh Channi, who needs to overcome his 2022 double defeat ?
