With the 2027 Assembly elections approaching, Punjab Congress is facing a fresh fight over the “one family, one ticket” rule. Amarinder Singh Raja Warring says the rule should apply, while Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has openly argued that candidates with the ability to win should get tickets, even if more than one member of a family is involved. The dispute has now turned into a larger question about winnability, fairness and internal democracy within Punjab Congress.
