As the Shiromani Akali Dal tries to regain ground ahead of 2027, it is being pulled in two directions at once. On one hand, Sukhbir Singh Badal is working to reunite splintered Akali factions and recover the Panthic vote lost after 2015. On the other hand, rebels and breakaway groups continue to claim the same space, even when their electoral impact looks limited. With SAD’s vote share still below its past peak and gains uneven across regions, the bigger issue is this: Can Akali Dal truly consolidate its base again or will internal rebellions keep weakening it just when unity matters most ?
शिरोमणि अकाली दल 2027 के चुनावों से पहले अपनी स्थिति मजबूत करने की कोशिश कर रहा है, लेकिन साथ ही साथ उसे दो दिशाओं में खिंचाव का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। एक ओर, सुखबीर सिंह बादल बिखरे हुए अकाली गुटों को एकजुट करने और 2015 के बाद खोए हुए पंथिक वोटों को वापस पाने के लिए प्रयासरत हैं। दूसरी ओर, विद्रोही और अलग हुए गुट उसी क्षेत्र पर अपना दावा कायम रखे हुए हैं, भले ही चुनावी प्रभाव सीमित दिख रहा हो। अकाली दल का वोट शेयर अभी भी अपने पिछले उच्चतम स्तर से नीचे है और विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में इसका लाभ असमान है। सबसे बड़ा सवाल यह है: क्या अकाली दल वास्तव में अपने आधार को फिर से मजबूत कर पाएगा या आंतरिक विद्रोह इसे तब कमजोर करेंगे जब एकता की सबसे ज्यादा जरूरत है ?
Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has openly hit back at Sunil Jakhar, saying that if Jakhar claims he was denied the Chief Minister’s post for being Hindu, then Randhawa too could say he was sidelined for being Jatt. By bringing caste and identity into the open, Randhawa has reopened an old Congress wound that never really healed. He has also exposed how unresolved the 2021 CM drama still is inside Congress. As Punjab heads toward 2027, is Randhawa strengthening Congress by calling out what he sees as hypocrisy or is he reminding voters why the party still looks stuck in internal blame games rather than future leadership ?
