Despite BJP’s attempts to project Dalit inclusion through symbolic gestures like appointing Dalit leaders, supporting constitutional safeguards, and highlighting Ambedkar, multiple incidents of caste-based violence,from lynchings to suicides, continue in BJP-ruled states. With Dalits visibly pushing back at the ballot box, the question is: Is BJP’s Hindutva project truly inclusive or is BJP just playing optics?
