Congress is gearing up for the 2027 Punjab battle and talking about a comeback, but the bigger question is whether the party has a clearly defined political roadmap to take that comeback from a slogan to an electoral strategy. With AAP defending its record, BJP aggressively expanding its footprint and the Shiromani Akali Dal attempting to regain lost ground, can Congress afford to enter the election with its roadmap and manifesto still taking shape Or does Punjab need to know what Congress wants to change before Congress asks Punjab to change its Government ?
कांग्रेस 2027 के पंजाब विधानसभा चुनाव की तैयारी में जुटी है और सत्ता में वापसी की बात कर रही है लेकिन बड़ा सवाल यह है कि क्या पार्टी के पास इस वापसी के नारे को ठोस चुनावी रणनीति में बदलने के लिए स्पष्ट राजनीतिक रोडमैप है। आम आदमी पार्टी अपने कार्यकाल का हिसाब लेकर मैदान में है, भाजपा पंजाब में अपना प्रभाव तेजी से बढ़ाने की कोशिश कर रही है और शिरोमणि अकाली दल भी अपना खोया जनाधार वापस पाने में जुटा है। ऐसे में क्या कांग्रेस अपने रोडमैप और घोषणा-पत्र को अंतिम रूप दिए बिना चुनावी मैदान में उतरने का जोखिम उठा सकती है या फिर पंजाब को यह जानना जरूरी है कि कांग्रेस सरकार बदलने की अपील करने से पहले खुद क्या बदलना चाहती है ?
Congress has already lost much of the political dominance it once enjoyed in Punjab, and the 2027 election could be a crucial test of whether the party can still reinvent itself as a credible force. But if Congress once again fails to make a meaningful electoral dent, struggles to challenge the Aam Aadmi Party and cannot emerge as a serious alternative to the competing political forces, would it be just another defeat or could 2027 mark the beginning of the end of Congress as a major political force in Punjab ?
