Ranjit Singh Khojewal, currently the BJP District President, had secured only around 6% votes in Kapurthala in the last Assembly election, a result that reflected BJP’s limited ground space in the constituency. With Congress’ Rana Gurjeet Singh still dominant in the seat and AAP itself still searching for the right candidate, the big question for BJP is simple but uncomfortable, should the party take the risk of fielding Khojewal again in 2027 or is it time to rethink the face entirely?
