Gen Z grew up with all of that already in place, but their tech story has also included crypto hype, NFT scams, Web3 promises, algorithm-driven platforms and services constantly asking for their data. So, is Gen Z less excited about technology because Big Tech stopped feeling revolutionary and started feeling unavoidable ?

For generations, Punjab’s idea of success has been closely tied to government jobs, migration abroad, family business and a secure career. But Gen Z is growing up with very different ambitions, from entrepreneurship and digital careers to AI, content creation and new ideas of success. At the same time, questions around jobs, migration, skills and staying connected to Punjab are becoming harder to ignore. Is Punjab’s Gen Z moving beyond the traditional “settle abroad” dream or simply finding a new way to achieve it ?
