At the same time, Bhagwant Mann has firmly rejected both the Centre's intervention and the demand for a CBI inquiry, maintaining that the state machinery is capable of handling the case on its own. This direct clash has now turned into a larger political debate around transparency, accountability, and the balance between state autonomy and central agencies. With serious allegations on one side and a strong refusal on the other, is this standoff really about protecting federal structure, or does it raise uncomfortable questions about what might come out if an independent probe is allowed ?

With thousands reportedly struggling to receive basic wages while policies around outsourcing continue, the issue raises deeper concerns about accountability, labour rights, and governance priorities.
