More faces can bring more reach and experience but they can also make the leadership picture less clear. With so many leaders taking the stage, who is actually leading BJP’s Punjab campaign and who will take responsibility for its 2027 strategy ?

But its relationship with Punjab’s farmers was deeply strained after the farm laws triggered a prolonged farmers’ movement, and the Shiromani Akali Dal broke its alliance with the BJP over the issue in 2020. Bhagwant Mann is now using the deaths of farmers during that period to question how the BJP can seek votes in Punjab. After the farm laws and the farmers’ movement, can the BJP really win back Punjab’s farmers or is that political wound still too deep to forget before 2027 ?
