The Government of India has admitted in Parliament that the demand for DAP fertilizer in Punjab during the Rabi season was around 4 lakh Metric Tons. However, only 3.6 lakh Metric Tons of DAP were supplied. This is a serious concern because the area under Wheat cultivation in Punjab was record-breaking this time.
