Punjab is the largest and best marketing network in the world,

with approximately 156 market committees (APMCs) used for the purchase and sale of farmer's crops.

The highest number of markets are in Ludhiana, with 14 recognized market committees.

ਜੇਨ ਜ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਾਲੀ ਕਾਕਰੋਚ ਜਨਤਾ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਲਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਜਾਤੀ ਪਿਛੋਕੜਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆ ਪੇਪਰ ਲੀਕ ਅਤੇ ਖਰਾਬ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਵਰਗੇ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਆਏ। ਪਰ ਵੱਧ ਰਹੀ ਰਾਖਵਾਂਕਰਨ-ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਲਹਿਰ ਨੇ ਜਾਤੀਗਤ ਫ਼ਰਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਚਰਚਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਕੀ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਸਾਂਝੀਆਂ ਸਮੱਸਿਆਵਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖ ਸਕਣਗੇ ਜਾਂ ਰਾਖਵਾਂਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਦਾ ਉਸ ਲਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੰਡ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ, ਜੋ ਕਦੇ ਜਾਤੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਦਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਉਪਰ ਉਠ ਕੇ ਇਕਜੁੱਟ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ?
