ਜਲੰਧਰ ਪੱਛਮ ਉਪਚੋਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਰਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਦਾ ਛੋਟਾ ਪਰ ਉਲਝਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਲਈ ਕਈ ਸਵਾਲ ਛੱਡ ਗਿਆ। ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਗੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ, ਫਿਰ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨੇ ਖੁਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰੀ ਬਣਾ ਲਈ। ਕੁਝ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਪਰ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹੇ ਤੌਰ ’ਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਦੋਹਰਾਈ। ਨਤੀਜਾ ਸਾਫ਼ ਸੀ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 1,242 ਮਤ ਮਿਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਘਟਨਾ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਖ ਦਿਖਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ, ਪਰ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਸਾਫ਼ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਇਆ। ਹੁਣ 2027 ਵੱਲ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਵਾਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਫਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਸੁਰਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ’ਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਪੱਛਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਮੁੜ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਸੇ ਸਾਫ਼ ਅਤੇ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ ?
