ਅਨੁਭਵੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਆਗੂ, ਸਾਬਕਾ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਅਤੇ 2022 ਵਿੱਚ ਧਰਮਕੋਟ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਰਹੇ ਤੋਤਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਦਿਹਾਂਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਇਸ ਸੀਟ ‘ਤੇ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਦੀ ਕਮੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਧਰਮਕੋਟ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਕਈ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਸ਼ੀਤਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ‘ਚ ਰਹੀ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ 1997, 2002 ਅਤੇ 2007 ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੱਤ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਹੁਣ ਧਿਆਨ ਰਾਜਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਧਰਮਕੋਟ ਵੱਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸ਼ੀਤਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਨੇ 2024 ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਰੀਦਕੋਟ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਸੀਟ ਲਈ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਜਦੋਂ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਹੌਲੀ-ਹੌਲੀ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਹੱਟ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ 2027 ਦਾ ਸਵਾਲ ਸਾਫ਼ ਹੈ, ਕੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਹੁਣ ਰਾਜਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਮਕੋਟ ਲਈ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਚੋਣ ਮੰਨਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਨੁਭਵੀ ਦੌਰ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਣ ‘ਚ ਅਸਮੰਜਸ ‘ਚ ਹੈ ?
