(ਸਮਾਂਬੱਧ ਲੇਬਰ ਫ਼ੋਰਸ ਸਰਵੇਖਣ) ਦੇ ਅੰਕੜੇ ਇਹ ਦਰਸ਼ਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਪੇਂਡੂ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 15 ਸਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਉਮਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ‘ਚ ਵਰਕਰ ਜਨਸੰਖਿਆ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਪਾਤ 62 ਪ੍ਰਤੀਸ਼ਤ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੇਂਡੂ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ‘ਚ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰ ਦੀ ਕਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਸੰਕਟ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਇਹ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਬਣੀ ਹੈ।
