With the North American Punjabi Association (NAPA) openly questioning the value of repeated special Assembly sessions, the spotlight is now firmly on Bhagwant Mann and the AAP Government. Each session costs the state nearly ₹1 Crore, yet NAPA says not a single resolution has shown real results on the ground. At a time of debt, job stress, and weak public services, are these sessions about solving problems or about creating headlines and optics ? And if resolutions stay on paper, does this point to weak governance under Mann’s leadership rather than strong intent ?
नॉर्थ अमेरिकन पंजाबी एसोसिएशन (NAPA) ने बार-बार बुलाई जा रही विशेष विधानसभा सत्रों की उपयोगिता पर खुलकर सवाल उठाए हैं। अब सीधा फोकस भगवंत मान और आम आदमी पार्टी सरकार पर है। हर विशेष सत्र पर करीब ₹1 करोड़ खर्च होता है, लेकिन NAPA का कहना है कि अब तक पारित किसी भी प्रस्ताव का ज़मीनी असर नहीं दिखा। कर्ज़, बेरोज़गारी और कमजोर सार्वजनिक सेवाओं के दौर में क्या ये सत्र समस्याओं का हल हैं या सिर्फ सुर्खियाँ और राजनीतिक दिखावा ? और अगर प्रस्ताव काग़ज़ों तक ही सीमित रहें, तो क्या यह मान सरकार की कमजोर कार्यशैली को नहीं दिखाता ?

Sunil Jakhar remains State President without full clarity, Ravneet Singh Bittu is being projected nationally despite losing his seat, and Captain Amarinder Singh’s entry once promised much but now feels politically muted. Even as Haryana is used as a launch pad and Modi–Shah set the tone, Punjab BJP looks unsure about who should actually lead from the front. Is the delay a careful strategy to avoid internal friction or a sign that the BJP still lacks a leader who can command broad acceptance in Punjab ?
