Now in 2026, with his wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu quitting the Congress and openly attacking its leadership, the signals are no longer subtle. Is Sidhu preparing for a full-circle return to the BJP, turning his Congress phase into a detour rather than a destination, and betting once again on visibility, rhetoric, and timing to revive his political relevance ?

Even now, his faction’s verbal spat with Jashan Singh Chahal’s group at a recent meeting highlighted continuing discord within the party’s ranks. With ticket decisions for 2027 looming, will these repeated party switches and the ongoing factional fights cost Kangar his claim to a ticket or might he once again look beyond the Congress if stability doesn’t come his way ?
