Even after Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge publicly backed Raja Warring's leadership, the Punjab Congress appears unable to contain its internal rebellion. Now, senior leader Mohammed Mustafa has openly urged Rahul Gandhi to remove Warring, calling the party's recent functioning a "theatre of the absurd" and warning that indecision could prove disastrous before 2027. This raises a bigger question: Has the Punjab Congress reached a stage where every leadership decision creates a new rebellion instead of restoring unity ? Can a party hoping to challenge the government first convince its own leaders to stand behind one leadership, or is factional politics becoming its biggest opposition ?
राहुल गांधी और मल्लिकार्जुन खड़गे द्वारा सार्वजनिक रूप से राजा वड़िंग के नेतृत्व पर भरोसा जताने के बावजूद पंजाब कांग्रेस का अंदरूनी संकट थमने का नाम नहीं ले रहा। अब वरिष्ठ नेता मोहम्मद मुस्तफा ने खुला पत्र लिखकर राहुल गांधी से राजा वड़िंग को हटाने की मांग की है। उन्होंने पार्टी की मौजूदा स्थिति को "बेतुकेपन का रंगमंच" बताते हुए चेतावनी दी है कि अगर समय रहते सख्त और निर्णायक फैसला नहीं लिया गया, तो 2027 से पहले पार्टी को भारी राजनीतिक नुकसान उठाना पड़ सकता है। ऐसे में बड़ा सवाल यह है: क्या पंजाब कांग्रेस उस दौर में पहुँच चुकी है, जहाँ हर संगठनात्मक फैसला पार्टी को एकजुट करने के बजाय नई बगावत को जन्म देता है ? जो पार्टी सरकार को चुनौती देना चाहती है, क्या वह पहले अपने ही नेताओं को एक नेतृत्व के पीछे खड़ा कर पाएगी, या गुटबाज़ी ही उसकी सबसे बड़ी विरोधी बन चुकी है ?

But this raises a sharper question: Before selling the "Punjab Model" to other states, shouldn't the Government first convince people in Punjab that the model works seamlessly on the ground ? With recurring questions over healthcare infrastructure, implementation and reports of pending dues to hospitals under the scheme, is the AAP exporting a success story, or marketing a work in progress ?
