It is the need of the hour to inculcate the habit in youngsters of treating government property as property of one's own and that as a community asset. Rather than vandalizing every now and then, it should be protected at all costs!
As speculation grows over a possible leadership change in the Punjab Congress, an uncomfortable question is beginning to surface around Amarinder Singh Raja Warring. Despite his aggressive attacks on the AAP government and high visibility in the media, Congress has yet to translate that energy into a major political breakthrough in Punjab. The question is: If Congress decides to remove Raja Warring, would it be abandoning one of its most vocal fighters, or admitting that visibility and victory are not the same thing ? After years of protests, press conferences and political battles, has Warring strengthened Congress's electoral position, or simply become the party's most prominent opposition voice without delivering the revival many expected ?
Manish Tewari has argued that replacing Captain Amarinder Singh in 2021 was a mistake and has suggested that Congress would have performed better had it stayed the course. At the same time, he says he was not consulted in the latest round of discussions on Punjab Congress restructuring. That raises an intriguing question: If leaders who accurately warned about the consequences of 2021 are now being left out of key consultations, is Congress listening to its most experienced voices, or repeating the very habits that contributed to its earlier setbacks ? As the party prepares another reset ahead of 2027, is it learning from history, or merely reorganising around it ?
