It is the need of the hour to inculcate the habit in youngsters of treating government property as property of one's own and that as a community asset. Rather than vandalizing every now and then, it should be protected at all costs!
Punjab Congress veterans like Brahm Mohindra and Rajinder Kaur Bhattal were once among the party's most influential voices, but as the battle for 2027 gathers pace, they seem largely absent from the spotlight. Their silence has sparked a pointed question are these seasoned leaders choosing to stay in the background, or has the Congress leadership quietly moved on from its old guard ? And at a time when the party is talking about unity and revival, can it afford to keep some of its most experienced political minds on the sidelines ?
Punjab Congress is launching its "Punjab Reroot Campaign" with a special focus on first-time voters, youth outreach and reconnecting with different sections of society ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections. But the announcement has also triggered a blunt question can a party truly "reroot" itself among voters before first uprooting the factionalism that has repeatedly weakened it from within ? After years of internal rivalries, missed opportunities and electoral setbacks, is Congress preparing to reconnect with Punjab's youth, or still trying to reconnect with itself ? And if young voters are being asked to believe in a fresh Congress, shouldn't the party first show that it has learned from the mistakes that pushed many of those voters away in the first place ?
