It is the need of the hour to inculcate the habit in youngsters of treating government property as property of one's own and that as a community asset. Rather than vandalizing every now and then, it should be protected at all costs!
Partap Singh Bajwa has long cultivated the image of an independent and politically sharp leader within Punjab Congress. As Leader of the Opposition, he has often tried to stay above the party's internal factional battles. However, with the ongoing Channi-Warring rivalry and growing talk of organisational changes after Congress's disappointing civic poll performance, Bajwa is increasingly being viewed as being closer to the Warring camp. As the battle for influence ahead of 2027 intensifies, an interesting question emerges could Partap Singh Bajwa end up paying a political price if the Congress high command decides that major changes are needed in Punjab and leaders linked to existing power centres come under scrutiny ?
Vijay Inder Singla has quietly rebuilt his position within Punjab Congress after years of political ups and downs. With the party struggling against AAP, battling factionalism and searching for a stronger organisational structure ahead of 2027, some leaders see Singla as a relatively acceptable face who carries administrative experience and avoids many of the public feuds that often consume the party. Yet Punjab Congress has traditionally leaned towards Jat Sikh leadership when it comes to its most important positions, and Rahul Gandhi has so far shown little sign of sidelining Raja Warring from the PPCC Chief's post. As discussions about the party's future leadership continue, an intriguing question emerges if Congress eventually looks beyond the Channi- Warring equation, can Vijay Inder Singla realistically emerge as a consensus choice for Punjab Congress, or do old political equations still stand firmly in his way ?
