MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal has promised a women-led drive against drug traffickers and a special task force headed by a woman DGP if the party returns to power. Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party Government is seeking women’s support through its monthly aid of ₹1,000–₹1,500. Can the Shiromani Akali Dal turn women’s concerns over drugs and financial security into political support in 2027 or must it first prove that its promises go beyond election speeches ?
