Are Rahul and Priyanka avoiding the Vande Mataram debate because they fear losing a section of voters or because the Congress no longer knows what it actually stands for in 2024-27 politics ?
वंदे मातरम् से अपनी पहचान बनाने वाली कांग्रेस आज उस मुद्दे को छूने से भी कतराती दिख रही है। कांग्रेस नेता ‘बहुसंख्यकवाद’ का आरोप लगाते हैं, और उनकी भाषा कई बार प्री-इंडिपेंडेंस दौर की मुस्लिम लीग जैसी लगती है। वहीं, वंदे मातरम् पर उठी नई बहस के बीच राहुल गांधी और प्रियंका गांधी पूरी तरह चुप हैं, एक ऐसे गीत पर कोई स्पष्ट राय नहीं, जिसने कभी आज़ादी के आंदोलन को दिशा दी थी। तो क्या राहुल और प्रियंका वंदे मातरम् पर इसलिए चुप हैं क्योंकि उन्हें वोट बैंक के नाराज़ होने का डर है या फिर इसलिए कि कांग्रेस अब 2024–27 की राजनीति में खुद ही नहीं समझ पा रही कि वह किस विचार पर खड़ी है ?
