As Punjab Congress weighs a possible leadership change and Charanjit Singh Channi's name continues to gain attention, an uncomfortable question confronts the party: Is replacing Amarinder Singh Raja Warring really the solution, or is Congress once again confusing a leadership issue with a much deeper organisational problem ? After all, Punjab voters have already watched the party experiment with different presidents, chief ministers and power centres over the past few years. If leadership changes were the solution, wouldn't the party's fortunes have improved by now ? With 2027 approaching, does Congress need a new president, or does it need to finally unite behind the one it already has ?
