The increasing number of girls pursuing postgraduate degree courses in non-traditional institutions, such as agriculture, engineering, etc., is a good message for empowering women.

What trend are the youth moving towards, and does it have to be sustainable?
Former Faridkot MLA Kushaldeep Singh Kikki Dhillon has once again come under scrutiny after being questioned by the Enforcement Directorate for nearly nine hours in a money-laundering probe linked to an alleged disproportionate assets case. Dhillon, however, has maintained that he fully cooperated with investigators, provided the required records, and has complete faith in the judicial process. With the matter still before the courts, his supporters argue that allegations should not be treated as proof of wrongdoing. As the investigation continues, a political question emerges should a leader's reputation be defined by ongoing allegations and investigations, or should the final verdict of the courts remain the ultimate test ? And in Punjab politics, do lengthy probes sometimes end up becoming a political punishment long before any legal conclusion is reached ?
Punjab's local body election numbers have triggered serious questions for the Congress. While AAP surged from just 69 seats to 958 seats, Congress crashed from 1,399 seats to only 397. At the same time, the BJP jumped from 49 seats to 172, while the Akali Dal slipped from 284 to 192. These figures have intensified the debate over leadership, strategy, and the party's readiness for 2027. This raises an intriguing political question: If Congress lost over 1,000 local body seats compared to the previous election while AAP and BJP both expanded their footprint, is the party facing a temporary setback or a deeper structural problem ? And can Congress realistically dream of forming the next Government without first explaining what caused such a dramatic collapse in its own numbers ?
