Despite Bhupesh Baghel's efforts to defuse the crisis, the rebellion has only become more organised and more public. When such a large section of a state unit openly questions a leadership decision, does it reflect a crisis of confidence in one individual, or a deeper failure of the Congress high command's ability to enforce authority and build consensus ? If the high command now ignores this show of strength, will it restore discipline or deepen the divisions even further ?
