The Shiromani Akali Dal is entering 2027 after a sharp decline in electoral strength. It won only 3 Assembly seats in 2022 and 1 Lok Sabha seat in Punjab in 2024. At the same time, the BJP has publicly said it will contest all 117 Assembly seats on its own, while Akali factions have taken different positions on alliances. If the Shiromani Akali Dal fails to build an alliance with the BJP or bring competing Akali factions together and then suffers another major setback in 2027, could that become the point when the Badal family’s long political era finally comes to an end ?
शिरोमणि अकाली दल 2027 में अपनी चुनावी ताकत में भारी गिरावट के बाद प्रवेश कर रहा है। 2022 में उसे विधानसभा की सिर्फ 3 सीटें मिली थीं और 2024 में पंजाब से लोकसभा की सिर्फ 1 सीट मिली। वहीं, भाजपा सार्वजनिक रूप से कह चुकी है कि वह सभी 117 विधानसभा सीटों पर अपने दम पर चुनाव लड़ेगी, जबकि अकाली दल के अलग-अलग गुट गठबंधन को लेकर अलग-अलग रुख अपना रहे हैं। अगर शिरोमणि अकाली दल भाजपा के साथ गठबंधन नहीं कर पाता, अकाली गुटों को एक साथ नहीं ला पाता और 2027 में फिर बड़ा झटका लगता है, तो क्या यह बादल परिवार के लंबे राजनीतिक दौर के अंत का मोड़ बन सकता है ?
