ਚਮਕੌਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ 2022 ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹਿਲ ਕਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ–ਬਹੁਜਨ ਸਮਾਜ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਗਠਜੋੜ ਦੇ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਚੋਣ ਲੜੀ, ਪਰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 10,394 ਮਤ (9%) ਨਾਲ ਚੌਥੇ ਨੰਬਰ ’ਤੇ ਰਹੇ। ਨਤੀਜਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਫਿਰ ਸਾਬਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਗਠਜੋੜ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਮੈਦਾਨ ’ਚ ਤਾਕਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣ ਸਕੀ, ਖ਼ਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨੇ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਪਕੜ ਬਣਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਵੋਟ ਵੰਡੀ ਗਈ। 2027 ਵੱਲ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਲਈ ਵੱਡਾ ਸਵਾਲ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੈ, ਕੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਨੂੰ ਮਹਿਲ ਕਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਠਜੋੜ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਹੀ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਹੁਣ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ, ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ?

ਜਲੰਧਰ ਉੱਤਰ ਤੋਂ 2022 ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਲਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਲੁਬਾਣਾ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ–ਬਸਪਾ ਦੇ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਤਰੇ, ਪਰ ਸੀਟ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਫਿਰ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਨਿਕਲ ਗਈ। ਕੁਝ ਸਮੇਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੀ ਲੁਬਾਣਾ ਨੇ ਖੁਦ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਖੇਮੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਅਸਲ ਗੱਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਉੱਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਈ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਤੌਰ ’ਤੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਹੀ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਇਸ ਹਲਕੇ ਨੂੰ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾਕਾਮ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਜਦੋਂ ਗਠਜੋੜ ਦਾ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਵੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਛੱਡ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ 2027 ਲਈ ਸਵਾਲ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਸਵਾਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ, ਕੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਕੋਲ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਉੱਤਰ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ ਕੋਈ ਭਰੋਸੇਯੋਗ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਬਚਿਆ ਵੀ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਇਹ ਹਲਕਾ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਸਿਆਸਤ ਤੋਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ ?
