While every senior leader claims to strengthen the party, these competing narratives often leave the impression that the high command is managing aspirations more than building an alternative government. जैसे-जैसे पंजाब 2027 की ओर बढ़ रहा है, कांग्रेस के सामने नेताओं की कमी नहीं दिखती, लेकिन क्या अब उसे कार्यकर्ताओं और अनुयायियों की कमी महसूस होने लगी है ? हर कुछ महीनों में चर्चा संगठन को मज़बूत करने से ज़्यादा नेतृत्व के समीकरणों पर आकर टिक जाती है, कभी चन्नी कार्ड, कभी हिंदू कार्ड, कभी सिख कार्ड, कभी पी.पी.सी.सी., कभी मुख्यमंत्री का चेहरा, तो कभी अगले फेरबदल की चर्चा। हर वरिष्ठ नेता पार्टी को मज़बूत करने का दावा करता है, लेकिन इन सबके बीच ऐसा लगता है कि हाईकमान सरकार का विकल्प तैयार करने से ज़्यादा नेताओं की महत्वाकांक्षाओं का संतुलन बनाने में व्यस्त है। ऐसे समय में जब पंजाब एक स्पष्ट दिशा की तलाश में है, क्या कांग्रेस अभी भी यह तय करने में उलझी है कि पार्टी का नेतृत्व कौन करेगा, बजाय इसके कि पंजाब को किस दिशा में ले जाना है ? 2027 से पहले कांग्रेस की सबसे बड़ी राजनीतिक दुविधा क्या है ?
