Congress says it is preparing a constituency-by-constituency strategy for the 2027 Punjab elections, identifying weak seats, rebuilding booth networks and crafting different plans for different regions. But the exercise raises a pointed question if Congress won seven Lok Sabha seats in Punjab and remains the principal opposition, why is the party still spending so much time studying its weaknesses instead of projecting confidence in its strengths ? And while Congress is busy mapping every constituency, has it settled the bigger question of who will lead the party's campaign, its government and its vision if voters return it to power ?
कांग्रेस कह रही है कि वह 2027 पंजाब विधानसभा चुनाव के लिए सीट-दर-सीट रणनीति बना रही है, कमजोर क्षेत्रों की पहचान कर रही है, बूथ नेटवर्क को मजबूत कर रही है और अलग-अलग इलाकों के लिए अलग योजनाएँ तैयार कर रही है। लेकिन इससे एक बड़ा सवाल भी उठता है अगर कांग्रेस ने पंजाब में सात लोकसभा सीटें जीतीं और आज भी मुख्य विपक्षी दल है, तो क्या उसे अपनी ताकत दिखाने पर ज्यादा ध्यान नहीं देना चाहिए, बजाय लगातार अपनी कमजोरियों का अध्ययन करने के ? और जब कांग्रेस हर विधानसभा क्षेत्र का राजनीतिक नक्शा तैयार करने में व्यस्त है, क्या उसने यह तय कर लिया है कि सत्ता मिलने पर पार्टी का नेतृत्व, चुनावी चेहरा और भविष्य की दिशा कौन तय करेगा ?
Punjab Congress says it will fight the 2027 election under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, with no clear Chief Ministerial face in sight. But the announcement has sparked a pointed question has Congress solved its CM-face problem, or simply decided that having no face is easier than choosing one and upsetting everyone else ?
