For some young people coming to Chandigarh from Punjab’s villages, families make major financial sacrifices, sometimes even selling agricultural land to support their children’s education and city life. But once in Chandigarh, is the focus always on studies and careers or does the race for expensive cars, branded clothes, cafés, parties and a flashy lifestyle take over ?
