Sanjay Talwar built his rise through local politics, winning three straight terms as Municipal Councillor before becoming MLA from Ludhiana East in 2017. His journey suggested strong grassroots roots, and as MLA he projected a development-focused image. Yet in 2022, despite being a recent legislator, he fell far behind as Aam Aadmi Party swept the seat. That sharp drop raises a deeper political question: Was Sanjay Talwar’s earlier success built on personal connect that later weakened, or did Congress fail to protect one of its proven urban faces when the tide turned ?
