Punjab BJP chief Sunil Kumar Jakhar has alleged that the ruling Aam Aadmi Party and the Indian National Congress are operating under a “mutually friendly pact”, claiming that the opposition has failed to hold the Government accountable on issues like drugs, law and order, and financial transparency. He also questioned whether Leader of the Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa would raise key issues during the Budget session while pointing to Rahul Gandhi not directly criticising the state government during his recent Punjab visit.
पंजाब भाजपा प्रमुख सुनील कुमार जाखड़ ने आरोप लगाया है कि सत्तारूढ़ आम आदमी पार्टी और भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस के बीच एक “आपसी मित्रतापूर्ण समझ” चल रही है, जिसके कारण विपक्ष राज्य में नशे, कानून व्यवस्था और वित्तीय पारदर्शिता जैसे मुद्दों पर सरकार को सही ढंग से घेर नहीं पा रहा। उन्होंने यह भी सवाल उठाया कि क्या विधानसभा के बजट सत्र के दौरान नेता प्रतिपक्ष प्रताप सिंह बाजवा इन महत्वपूर्ण मुद्दों को उठाएंगे, और यह भी उल्लेख किया कि राहुल गांधी ने अपनी हालिया पंजाब यात्रा के दौरान राज्य सरकार की सीधे तौर पर आलोचना नहीं की।
BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh has questioned the AAP-led Punjab Government ahead of the new state Budget, alleging that several announcements made in last year’s Budget, including the drug census, indoor gyms, eco-tourism projects and village streetlights, have not seen visible progress on the ground. He has also raised questions about the delay in fulfilling the promised ₹1,000 monthly assistance for women.
