The Shiromani Akali Dal has sent repeated signals that it wants to rebuild ties with the BJP, after breaking their alliance over the farm laws. While the BJP continues to prepare for all 117 seats on its own, the Akalis appear more eager for a reunion. Could this difference in urgency give the BJP greater bargaining power ? Should Sukhbir Singh Badal now take the same firm stand and focus on rebuilding the Shiromani Akali Dal independently ?
