The idea of industrial development in any state can be gauged from new industrial power connections in a state. Punjab, with 23 districts, has around 3,400 new industrial connections.
From questioning authority and traditional social expectations to demanding greater freedom, transparency and a voice in decisions that affect them, Gen Z appears less willing to simply “fall in line.” They are challenging ideas that earlier generations often accepted without question. But when an entire generation starts pushing back, should the government see it as indiscipline or as a warning that the way institutions engage with young Indians needs to change ?
