पंजाब में करीब 12 लाख ट्रैक्टर हैं। वर्तमान समय में लगभग साढ़े 14 लाख ट्यूबवेल हैं जिनके माध्यम से भूमिगत जल निकाला जा रहा है। कृषि के लिए पंजाब ने अपनी बहुमूल्य पूंजी निवेश की है चाहे वह प्राकृतिक संसाधन हों, नहर/भूमिगत जल हो, उर्वरक या कृषि भूमि की रासायनिक दवाएं हों।

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਕਈ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਨਵੀਂ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦੀ ਆ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਕਈ ਵਰਕਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਭਰਦੇ ਚਿਹਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਕਸਰ ਮੰਚ ਤਾਂ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਅਸਲ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਨਹੀਂ। ਬਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਢਿੱਲੋਂ, ਮੋਹਿਤ ਮੋਹਿੰਦਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦਾ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਸੰਗਠਨਕ ਫੈਸਲਿਆਂ, ਰਣਨੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਲੀਡਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਕਮਾਨ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਵਾਲ ਉੱਠਦਾ ਹੈ ਕੀ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਗਲੀ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਦੀ ਲੀਡਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਜਾਂ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਡੀਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਉਹੀ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਚਿਹਰਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਵੇਂ ਨਤੀਜਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ? ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਆਗੂਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਉਹ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਮੰਚਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਜ਼ਮੀਨੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ?

For years, Punjab Congress has spoken about empowering young leaders and preparing the next generation, yet many workers privately complain that the party often offers promising faces visibility without real political authority. Leaders like Brinder Singh Dhillon, Mohit Mohindra and other emerging figures are frequently projected as the future, but when it comes to key decisions, organisational control and electoral strategy, the old hierarchy still appears firmly in charge.
