पंजाब में करीब 12 लाख ट्रैक्टर हैं। वर्तमान समय में लगभग साढ़े 14 लाख ट्यूबवेल हैं जिनके माध्यम से भूमिगत जल निकाला जा रहा है। कृषि के लिए पंजाब ने अपनी बहुमूल्य पूंजी निवेश की है चाहे वह प्राकृतिक संसाधन हों, नहर/भूमिगत जल हो, उर्वरक या कृषि भूमि की रासायनिक दवाएं हों।
