ਅਮਿਤ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਵਾਰ-ਵਾਰ ਇਹ ਸੰਕੇਤ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਰਾਹ ਖੁਦ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਨਾਲ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਗਠਜੋੜ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਖ਼ਾਸ ਦਿਲਚਸਪੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਜਿਵੇਂ-ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਸੰਗਠਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਆਚੀ ਹੋਈ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਵਾਪਸ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਇਕ ਦਿਲਚਸਪ ਸਵਾਲ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ: ਕੀ ਅਮਿਤ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ 'ਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿੱਖਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਜਾਂ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੀ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਦੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਘਟਾ ਕੇ ਦੇਖ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ? ਆਖ਼ਰਕਾਰ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੇ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਰੁਝਾਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਰਾਹ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਖਤਮ ਮੰਨ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਵੀ ਏਥੇ ਮੁੜ ਉੱਭਰੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਕੀ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਇਕ ਸੋਚੀ-ਸਮਝੀ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਖੇਡ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਜਾਂ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਉਸ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਹੀ ਆਤਮਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸੀ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਅਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਮ 'ਤੇ ਕਦੇ ਨਿਰਣਾਇਕ ਤਾਕਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣ ਸਕੀ ?
