Can this be stagnant around this only when global competition has more than 6000 Kgs per hectare yield? Something innovative has to be done immediately
Review - DEKHO
Punjab has an area under wheat cultivation of around 35 lakh hectares, resulting in a production of more than 165 lakh MT. This has a per hectare yield of 4700 Kgs.
As BJP leaders continue to speak confidently about expanding the party's footprint in Punjab and even forming a future government, a more uncomfortable question remains. The question is: If an election were held tomorrow, could the BJP confidently name even 20 candidates with a realistic chance of winning, let alone 117 ? While the party has succeeded in increasing its visibility and attracting prominent faces, elections are won booth by booth, constituency by constituency. Has the BJP built enough local leadership across Punjab to convert ambition into seats, or is the party still relying more on narratives than on a fully developed electoral machine ? As 2027 approaches, is the BJP preparing to govern Punjab, or still preparing to compete for it ?
Ravneet Singh Bittu's Rajya Sabha term has ended, he has not been re-nominated yet, and questions are now swirling about his political future. Once projected as one of the BJP's most important faces in Punjab and elevated to the Union Council of Ministers despite losing an election, Bittu now finds himself at an interesting crossroads. The question is: Does the BJP still see Ravneet Bittu as central to its Punjab strategy, or is his real test only beginning now ? As Punjab moves closer to 2027, will Bittu emerge as the BJP's leading Sikh face in the state, or will the party's next move reveal how much political weight he truly carries within its plans ?
