ਆਪਣੇ ਤਾਇਆ ਜੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ ਦੇ ਭਰੋਸੇਮੰਦ ਨੇਤਾ ਰਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਦੇ ਭਾਸ਼ਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਰਦੂ ਸ਼ਾਇਰੀ ਤੇ ਦਾਰਸ਼ਨਿਕ ਲਾਈਨਾਂ ਜੋੜਨ ਲਈ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ ਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦਾ “ਸੋਚ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਿਆਸਤਦਾਨ” ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਤੋਂ ਪੀਪਲਜ਼ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਆਫ ਪੰਜਾਬ, ਫਿਰ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਤੱਕ ਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਨੇ ਆਲੋਚਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਕਹਿਣ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਯਾਰੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਤੇਜ਼ ਬਦਲ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉੱਪਰੋਂ ਵਿੱਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੌਰ ਦਾ ਪੁਰਾਣਾ “ਪੀਪਾ ਮੰਤਰੀ” ਟੈਗ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਛਵੀ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਬੁੱਧੀਜੀਵੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ, ਮਹੱਤਵਾਕਾਂਖਾ ਅਤੇ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਨਵੇਂ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੇਤਾ ਵਾਂਗ ਬਣੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਅੱਜ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ ਦੀ ਅਸਲੀ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਕੀ ਹੈ ?
