ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਸ਼ਿਵਜੋਤ ਨੇ 2022 ਵਿੱਚ ਚਮਕੌਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੋਂ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਜਨਤਾ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਘੱਟ ਚਰਚਿਤ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਚੋਣ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਛੋਕੜ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰੀ ਸੀ, ਪਰੰਪਰਾਗਤ ਜ਼ਮੀਨੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ। ਪਰ ਨਤੀਜਾ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਰਿਹਾ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਸ ਹਲਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਪਛਾਣ, ਪਾਰਟੀ ਜਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪਰਕ, ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਵੱਧ ਅਸਰ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਅਕਸਰ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੈਸਾ, ਪ੍ਰੋਫਾਈਲ ਜਾਂ ਬ੍ਰਾਂਡ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਦਲਦੇ। ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਜਨਤਾ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਸੀਟਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਚਮਕੌਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਲਚਸਪ ਪਰਖ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਅਸਲ ਸਵਾਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਸ਼ਿਵਜੋਤ 2022 ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਰਸਮੀ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਸਨ, ਜਾਂ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾ ਦੇਖਦੀ ਹੈ। ਕੀ ਉਹ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦਾ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ ਹਨ, ਜਾਂ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਸਬੂਤ ਕਿ ਬਾਹਰੋਂ ਆਈ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਲਦੀ ?
