ਜਦੋਂ ਕਈ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਆਗੂ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਕਦੇ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਦੇ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਸਨ, ਭਾਜਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ “ਸਾਫ਼” ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦੇਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਫਿਰ ਲੋਕ ਹੁਣ ਇਹ ਸਵਾਲ ਪੁੱਛ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੀ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਲੜਾਈ ਹੈ, ਜਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਇਹ ਹੌਲੀ-ਹੌਲੀ ਇੱਕ ਸਿਆਸੀ “ਵਾਸ਼ਿੰਗ ਮਸ਼ੀਨ” ਬਣਦੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ED ਜਾਂਚਾਂ, ਛਾਪੇ ਅਤੇ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਸੱਤਾ ਪੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹੀ ਸਾਫ਼ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹਿਮੰਤਾ ਬਿਸਵਾ ਸਰਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸੁਵੇਂਦੁ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਤੱਕ, ਕਈ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਨੇਤਾ ਜੋ ਕਦੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੇ ‘ਤੇ ਸਨ, ਅੱਜ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡੇ ਅਹੁਦਿਆਂ ‘ਤੇ ਬੈਠੇ ਹਨ। ਆਲੋਚਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਨੈਤਿਕਤਾ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਮਸਲਾ ਬਣਦਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਤਾਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਸਵਾਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ: ਕੀ ਅੱਜ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਜੁਰਮ ਹੈ, ਜਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਸੱਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲੇ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਇੱਕ ਸਿਆਸੀ “ਸਮਝੌਤਾ”?
