Sukhpal Singh Khaira’s political journey has taken so many turns that even his supporters sometimes struggle to keep up. From Congress to AAP, then launching his own Punjab Ekta Party, contesting the 2019 Bathinda Lok Sabha seat under the Punjab Democratic Alliance, and finally returning to Congress, his shifts have kept Punjab politics on its toes. He still won Bholath in 2017 on AAP's and in 2022 on Congress's ticket, showing he has a solid personal vote base. But after so many changes, leadership clashes, and recent legal troubles, voters are unsure about his next move. So the real question for 2027 is-Does Khaira still have enough credibility left to convince voters in 2027?
