On the eve of Maghi Mela, Congress appeared in Muktsar, but in two separate camps. One group, led by Bhupesh Baghel and Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, held a press meet and paid obeisance together. By evening, another group led by Charanjit Singh Channi met separately, skipped the media, and quietly dispersed after high-command intervention. The message was clear even without words. If Congress cannot share one stage and one message on such a crucial day, how real is its claim of unity ? And with 2027 getting closer, is the party gearing up for elections or exposing its cracks in full public view ?
माघी मेले से पहले कांग्रेस मुक़्तसर में ज़रूर पहुँची, लेकिन एकजुट नहीं दिखी। एक गुट, जिसमें भूपेश बघेल और अमरिंदर सिंह राजा वड़िंग शामिल थे, ने साथ में प्रेस कॉन्फ़्रेंस की और गुरुद्वारे में माथा टेका। शाम होते-होते चरणजीत सिंह चन्नी के नेतृत्व वाला दूसरा गुट अलग जगह जमा हुआ, मीडिया से दूरी बनाए रखी और हाईकमान के दखल के बाद चुपचाप लौट गया। बिना बोले ही संदेश साफ़ था। अगर कांग्रेस ऐसे अहम दिन पर एक मंच और एक संदेश साझा नहीं कर सकती, तो उसकी एकता का दावा कितना वास्तविक है ? और जैसे-जैसे 2027 नज़दीक आ रहा है, क्या पार्टी चुनाव की तैयारी कर रही है या अपनी दरारें सार्वजनिक तौर पर उजागर कर रही है ?
With ₹27 Crores already released, rules in place since 2018, and six years to act, the Punjab Government still could not buy 28,515 basic smartphones for Poshan Abhiyaan. As a result, 12 Lakhs women and children now risk losing nutrition support. A switch from 4G to 5G doubled costs to ₹60 Crores, even though large parts of rural Punjab don’t have reliable 5G at all. This isn’t a lack of funds, data or time; it’s a collapse of execution. If the Government cannot deliver smartphones for anganwadi workers, how serious is it about saving children from malnutrition ? And when welfare fails at the last mile, will the Government take the responsibility ?
